The 48 Waterfalls of Takihata

There are many waterfalls in the area around Takihata, including the Kotaki, Otaki, Gokotaki, Gongentaki, Chigotaki, and Arataki waterfalls. Collectively they have long been known as the 48 Waterfalls of Takihata. Kotaki Falls in the middle of Kotakiji Temple are the largest, and the temple is said to be named after this waterfall. The campsite near Kotaki Falls is often bustling with visitors who come seeking outdoor excitement.
